Minion Master minion choice
I have seen several MM builds that prefer animated bone fiend over animated bone horror, I assume because they use range attack.... But in most cases, would an animated bone horror be better, especially if you have both aura of the lich and barbs loaded ? Thanks !

On a human mm, you want to run [[Order of Undeath] with [[Animate Bone Fiend] coupled with [[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor]. [[Animate Vampiric Horror] can counter the health sac:
[build prof=necro/any deathm=12+1+3 soulre=9+1][Order of [email protected]][animate bone [email protected]][animate vampiric [email protected]][[email protected]][Blood of the [email protected]][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][optional][Optional][/build] If on a hero, all you need is [[Jagged Bones], [[Animate Bone Minions], and [[Death Nova]: [build prof=N/any death=12+1+3 soul=8+1][Jagged [email protected]][Animate Bone [email protected]][Death [email protected]][[email protected]][Optional][optional][optional][optional][/build] For a more in depth guide on why certain skills are chosen: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gene...ation_skill s |

A lot of it depends upon what your main goal is as a minion master. The Bone Fiends attack at range, and may, therefore, live longer because they are out of range of melee and PBAoE spells. They may be of more use in an MM build where you want to use Barbs, etc., to do damage.
In my case, my minions are designed to be basically body-blockers to tie up the foes while other party members kill stuff. So, I don't use Bone Fiends and my MM hero builds are based around having lots of minions for body blockers. As with any sort of "build" in GW, you'll find many variations on an MM and you'll also find many people who will tell you you "must" use this or that. (Edit - see next post ) My advice is to check out the various sorts of builds and then put together something you like. However, I would say that, if you are going to use Bone Fiends, you should have a purpose for it - given their high energy cost and lack of blocking. Whatever you do, just don't use Shambling Horrors; the activation and recharge ain't worth it.

hmm, i happen to use a.o. Shambling Horror with Jagged Bones and Death Nova.
I'll have an army that does Bleeding and Poison damage. A Shambling Horror gives a Jagged Horror when it dies, so u get 2 minions for that high energy cost and recharge time. And with Jagged Bones u get 2 Jagged Horrors when the Shambling Horror dies. |

depends on what you want to use them for. example, i use animate bone minions on my hero so that i can raise up many of them fast, and use them as bombs with death nova.
